These are hotkeys for Dark Orbit's new client (v2). Check out hotkeys for the old client (v1)
One great addition in the new client is a hotkey for repair. Actually shortcuts from 0-9 can be customized to whatever available function you want them to perform.
Default hotkeys in Dark Orbit:
H to open/close information windows
CTRL to start/stop firing lasers
SPACE BAR to fire a [currently selected type of] rocket
M to launch a mine
J to Jump portal
C to change configuration (switching configs works with a 5 second delay)
L to show logout window
9 to start repair process (default assignment, you can change it)
Change laser ammunition type:
1 X1 – LCB-10
2 X2 – MCB-25
3 X3 – MCB-50
4 X4 – UCB-50
5 ABS – SAB-50
Change rocket type:
6 R310 – maximum 1,000 damage points per rocket fired;
7 PLT-2026 – maximum 2,000 damage points per rocket fired;
8 PLT-2021 – maximum 4,000 points per each rocket fired. Long-range rocket.
Some of the less useful hotkeys:
F shows Frames per second (fps) and some debug information
K* switch brightness between less/normal (1 level only).
U* shows coordinate grid. Don’t see much use for it.
* Does not work anymore. These keys worked in first versions after upgrade.

How do you launch a smart bomb? I have 10 of them (SMB-01). I have tried the control key, space bar, “M” key and clicking on the on screen icon without a launch.

-DarknightK-: Clicking on the icon should launch it. M launches a mine. As a general rule you can not launch it at the jump portals. You also must have a Smart Bomb CPU on board.
If nothing works – send an email to support. They reply pretty quickly, although they stopped replying me at all after some 5th email, go figure. :)

do i have to press m? ot can i just put mine on the shortcut buttuons and press it? or do i have to not move as im planting the mine?

god h is so annoying when im trying to chat and i miss the dialog box all my boxes(ship, user, map, oufit, chat) all go away.
also, here is a good tip: go to the side of ur bar that has laser/rockets/special ammo/buy ammo now/ tech items etc., and click on the lock symbol. now move ur shortcut keys around as u wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
